This was the worst weekend of my entire life.
My best friend took his own life thursday night. He was driving home from the bar not 5 mins from his house when the cops pulled him over and arrested him for drinking and driving. He was driving with no insurance and had a previous dui on his license. So his brother's wife picks him up at the station and drops him off at his dad's house. This is like 4 o'clock in the morning. About an hour later he went downstairs to the basement and hung himself. This is a total shocker to everybody. I still can't believe it happened. He was a great kid with tons and tons of friends. 24 years old with a whole life to live and he decided to go out like that. It just wasn't like him. I guess no one will ever know what really when on inside his head though. But the sad part is every he left behind is going to suffer now. This tuesday may be the hardest day of my life burying my best friend. My heart really goes out to the family and friends of the fallen soldiers over in Iraq. Its the worst feeling in the world.

Nothing is worse than losing a friend. You have my condolences and sympathies . . .
You've suffered a loss, as well as his family . . . so you will need to grieve the loss just the same as them. It'll take a while, and a few good crys. Take your time . . .

It reminds me of my best friend. I left for boot camp 2 years ago to join the military because of 9/11. Anyway I grew up with him, I was in already outta school when he was just getting into 11th grade. Great guy, had many friends and no enemies. He was a Ladies man during school hours and outstanding football player. Well known throughout my highschool. I was undergoing combat training in north carolina when the news hit me. My best friend took his own life with a 9 mil. Nobody knew why he did it. Growing up in a very small town you learn to appreciate the community more and when you leave and look back on it you realize you lived here. I could go on bro but I just want to cut it short and say, my condolences goes you and may god rest his soul. RIP BRO you are not alone.

May peace and understanding find you..and the memories you shared keep you strong...I almost lost my mom that way and unfortunately a very close friend of mine... i know the hurt and anger that comes with not knowing why they would want to leave you behind with broken pieces...and unfortunately no answer anyone can give you will ever be good enough...but I can assure you time will bring you solace...and the support of others will bring to light your other true friends...If you need to talk you can pm me any time...my heart and wishes of comfort go out to you... Thanks guys. This is really hard to coupe with. He was like a brother to me. Last night I hung out with my old circle of close friends and we just sat around exchanging stories and such. It felt much better getting our feelings out and reminising about the good times. Everybody that knew him just feels so horrible though. He was that guy who was the life of the party and carried himself like he had the world by the balls. Apparently deep down inside just the opposite was true. Hopefully now, he can find peace and happiness in the next world.

sorry to hear about your friend..US....sometimes when people feel no way out..that appears to be their only escape...they never think what effect it has on everyone left behind.....I do hope you and your friends...know there are people who care about you and if you need to talk...i'm here for ya......hang in there....it just takes time
At a bookstore the other day, I saw a book entitled "Sex for Dummies." Why would someone want to teach dumb people how to reproduce? Aren't there enough of them now?

I hate to hear this, 24 is a golden number. I had my share of drama at 24 but I learned to deal with it and as it made me a stronger person. My thoughts are that he was bumbed out and so dissapointed with himself that he made a very bad decision. We've all had our lows and we all know how bad it sucks. My regrets an prayers are with you and all his circle of people. Chin up.

sorry bro, that's definately a ****ty thing to have happen. I'm sure this next week or so will be a time for you, your friends, and his family to remember all the good times you had with him. Just know that he's happier now and that all the bad stuff that was going on in his head means nothing now and that he's in a better place looking down on you.
