Soccer world cup in South Africa
Not that I even follow soccer but it's pretty awesome having the worlds most popular sport hold the 2010 world cup in my home country. That will go a long way in boosting the economy and changing the negative perception a lot of teh world has on us.

Yeah, not an avid fan either. It will definitely benefit the country as a whole, and will bring in hella $ from tourism etc... Do you think you'll check a few games out?

Yeah they do, and htey've qualified for the last 2 world cups. They mainly play all the African nations and that's why you wouldn't have seen them play any european teams.
