Political Forum

I'm not sure if any other of you think this is a good idea, but what do you think of setting up a Political Forum? Maybe it could be a sub-forum of the lounge. I understand that people have very strong opinions and I'm not trying to censor anyone. I'm just tired of all of the threads that get hijacked by people that want to bash Iraquis, Americans, Germans, Canadians, the French, Muslims, Christians, Jews, Atheists, Liberals, Conservatives, Democrats, Republicans, Martians, Penguins, or Trekkies.

It is a good idea but most people I think hit 'New Threads Since Last Visit' and a new sub forum won't realy solve the problem of them seeing the political threads.

Good idea but I agree that "most" hit new posts. Best button on the website.

I am getting tired of seeing all the ENDLESS pol' bashing between repubs, democrats and non US guys hating US for the IRAQ thing and such.
Dont want to see them go but I wish people could continue it in the same thread instead of making new ones on the "SAME EXACT" topic.

Bad idea IMO, the lounge is for off topic talk, if you do like talking about world events DON'T OPEN THE THREAD, what is SO hard about that?........as for people hi-jacking tnreads to start sh!t let the mods warn them.......simple IMO.

We've already got a political forum. It's called "In the News". The problem is that nobody ever posts their political threads in there.

well theres a in the news forum, a sport forum, a computer forum.. why not a poloitics forum? whats the reason against having one?

Since a few people in the lounge started posting ALOT of politics I have noticed it brings the atmosphere of the lounge down.. I think it will make the lounge more "friendly" and I think those people would also liek a forum to argue polictics

I agree fellow kynoselen lover!.........oh and those of you sayin' that the debates get to hot and brings down the mood of the lounge don't look into the thread and your mood won't change! this is so dumb AR must create a whole new forum for the minority.....when the majority can simply DON'T OPEN THE FUKKIN' POLITICAL THREADS!

We are curious by nature, its like you have a letter but it says do not open, may have politacal content and etc. etc. 98% of the time we would open it; BUT if it were dropped of in the appropriate mailbox, then we wouldnt open it at all. just my analogy

Deffinitly rak_ani

Post counts would go through the roof

Members could no very little about BB and the lifestyle - but be really good at creating controversy and arguements

Funny, when I get my junk mail, I open it and see its for a car loan in California (2000miles away) I simply stop reading it and throw it away.

I think we need that forum. It will create less arguments.... Good idea....
