ESPN is gearing up for the sports award show next week. They have their athlete of the year up for voting and you can actually "write in" who you want to vote for.

We received this email from one of our readers who thought it would be good for ALL mma fans to WRITE IN Randy Couture's name. MMAWeekly agrees and would suggest you copy and paste this story on all messageboards on the internet.

Here was the email we received....

“I was thinking of something. In the US, our sports channel, ESPN, have they're very own sports awards called the Espys. It is for who the channel thinks had done the most for sports. This year though. They leave the voting to the fans.

Randy is a great guy, teacher, mentor, fighter, trainer, friend etc...He's definately a class act, I've never met someone as humble as he is...
