exactly...my uncle died from alzheimer's...His name was William...and of course everyone called him Bill...after he lost his senses...he called everyone else Billy for the last two years of his life...it was hard to watch him go from doing coin tricks for us when we were little...to not even being able to say my name anymore...you could still sense some recognition for a while...but soon he lost that too...just laid down one day and never got up again...and his body slowly failed...it was pure hell for my aunt...but I'm sure I can only imagine...xxxSass

Pneumonia killed him not alzheimers. I respect the dead, but sending the Airline Traffic Controllers back to work stole the strength of the unions forever and created all these minimum wage labor jobs that you used to be able to make a living off of therefore widening the rich/poor gap, and declared the war on drugs which is worthless, hasn't helped in the least bit, and is why juicers need to be extra careful in order to avoid doing 10 years for trying to improve their bodies. Not saying Ronald Reagan made a stance against roids but it is all the same in the governments eyes.

With all do respect to the man, you can't be serious. He is the reason that corporations have more say over peoples lives than they do.

I think that we should keep it to highlighting his achievements rather than his faults at this point.

Well yeah I see your point, but he did alot of harm to the American families that alot of people don't like talking about. I mean Hitler is dead but should we disuss his accomplishments or the fact he murdered 6 million people. Being dead doesn't make your harm to the world disappear.

Like I said, I hope he rests in peace but he is the key figure with the majority of the problems in american society today. Along with Bill Clinton.

    RIP Ronald Reagan.

Reagan was a man of his times... like all world leaders he had his good sides and not so good sides.

In my eyes his biggest achievement was getting the ball rolling on nuclear disarmament and ending the cold war. That counts for a lot in my book.

On the other hand many middle east problems like Saddam and Osama which came back to bite the US today are direct results of his policies (of course back then they were "Freedom Fighters, and not terrorists...), but in all fairness, how was he to know? After all they were the lesser of 2 evils.

RIP a good man who did his job.

Regardless of your political beliefs...Reagan was a great American. He gave us our pride and dignity back. He may have been guilty of a few things, but no more or no less than any other president. God bless him and his family!

Banning ludes definately put a crimp in my love life in the eighties! Hey DB, I respect your opinion on economic things, wasn't the economy better when Regan left than it was when he took over for Carter?

Anything could have been better than Carter.Wasn't hard to improve that situation. But Reganonomics haunted us for many years.Bush Sr inherited that mess, couldn't do anything with it,and passed it on to Clinton.Thank goodness corrupt corperate America fixed things.....temporarily.

Indeed, Reagan introduced both low and high points into American culture and history. However, he fought a hopeless battle with Alzheimers and has recently moved on. Let us properly pay our respects and may Ronald Reagan rest in peace.

Where are they then?. Before the outbreak of the war, Colon Bowel (hehe) stood on stage showing maps and locations of the WMD factories!. But its indesputable that Iraq WAS supplied by Britain, France, China and America.
