Thnk your a tough guy?...try this then...

Try this leg routine and tell me if you dont hurt, and collapse on at least one set...princess and i did this last night for legs...i got all the reps except on the 2nd set i only got 29.

    Squat-
    warm up- 10 reps
    working-
    set 1-increase weight 50lbs- 40 reps
    set 2- increse weight 40lbs- 30 reps
set 3 increase weight 30lbs- 20 reps (i collapsed after this one)
    set 4- increase weight 20lbs- 10 reps
set 5- increase another 20 lbs- 5 reps (didnt plan this set, but did it)

    Leg curls (hams)
    15
    12
    10

Seated calf rases- 3x20 going up in weight everytime

    leg extentions- 3x10 (30 sec intervals...long squeezes)

    standing calf rasies- 3x12

Now...try to walk out of the gym and drive...i dare you...

Yep, walking up stairs after a leg day, and putting on a backpack after a bi day.... two of the hardest feats ever known to man.

I never got good results from high reps. Sets #1, #2, and maybe even #3 would almost be aerobic in nature.

Whatever works for you though, bro. Did you need a forklift to get out of bed this morning?

you would think that...but the burn and pump and work you get in your legs is nowhere close to areobic IMO...doggcarp advoctes high reps on the legs....i read somewhere that he does sets of 50 for hack squats!!...40 was bitch!, but 50!!!...D@mn

I ALWAYS take the SUV to the gym for leg day. I can just sort of roll out of it once I get back home.

overtraining imo, just because after ur workout u cant use the muscle doesnt mean u got a good workout, i could do 50 sets of curls for my bis and wouldnt probly even be able to move my arm, but that doesnt neccesarily mean im making progress......

Overtraining is a result of inadequate rest, not too many reps/sets. As long as enough recovery time is given, this will not result in overtraining.
