    Obsessed Lifter

I just have to vent. This guy that I used to train with is driving me insane. I have never seen anyone obsessed with lifting before. The funny thing is he isnt obsessed with lifting. He's obsessed with bench pressing. He will literally call me up to ask me "when i'm pressing" He bench presses twice sometimes 3 times a week. He maxes every single time. Here's the funny thing. He's huge. He's 6'6 310 and all he does is bench press. He has zero knowledge of diet,or training.

He has a big gut,but his arms and back are absolutely enormous. He has the biggest natural frame i've ever seen. His legs are like twigs. He is the human living example of a light bulb. I wish god would have gifted me with genetics like that. He doesnt deadlift, squat do any of the other main lifts. I think I pissed him off today because he came up here giving me the ususal slang of when are you pressing...and i repetitively asked him when he was pulling. He immediatly changed the subject back to bench pressing everytime I said anything about anything else.

I seroiusly am waiting to see the day when I open my garage to see him naked humping my bench.

you might be able to get him to squat and dead by convincing him they'd improve his bench even more in the long run. maxing three times a week... talk about insane genetics for joint support. does he do any type of physical labor that might explain his size?

He doesnt even have a job anymore. He used to work at a cabinet warehouse. He was only like 200 pounds then. After he got fired he got really fat and his dad told him he needed to start running or working out. He just blew up like noone i've ever seen. His back looks unreal. From the back side of him where you cant see his gut he looks insane.

I have never seen someone grow like him. He's been lifting around 2 years and bench presses 460. Everything on his upper body is huge. I guess saying bench press is a compound lift is an understatement. I know for a fact he hasnt done anything else. I've tried to get him to cut down his weight, because he would look freaky at his height with his back and shoulders.

He says he wants to weigh 350 pounds. Why i have no idea because his gut already is massive. I have actually seen him throw a dumbell down when he was doing a hammer curl and I said what did you do that for ? He said that will hurt my bench. I have told him deadlifting and squatting would help him improve much overall, but he just keeps talking about benching and how he wants to bench 500 blah blah. Its hilaroius. I will try to grab a pic of him eventually just to show u guys what a lightbulb person looks like.

He tried to squat months ago and he couldnt even do 315. So technically he can almost not squat his bodyweight. I didnt think that was possible but apparently im wrong.

lol, that's funny, him throwing the dumbell. despite his squat and dead limitations, it sounds like he has a lot of potential if he got his sh!t together. maybe going to a powerlifting comp could help get him psyched up about the other lifts. then again nothing wrong with being a bench specialist. to each his own, even with the lightbulb look.

I thought it was inhumanly possible to get that big on top with no legs. You would think he'd lose balance and not be able to stand upright.

His balance is obviously horrible. I have never seen him run for anything. Funny thing is it's like after every sit he gets up and goes and sits somewhere, and if he isnt sitting he's leaning on something. I tried to get him to walk up my driveway with dumbells just to show him how far out of shape he is and he said no that will hurt my press.

He actually told me he was considering playing college football. This guy is 34 years old. Never played a game in his life, but thinks because his bench press is heavy he could play. I would so love to see the looks on the coaches face when a guy that couldnt run 10 yards without falling over. Never squats or does anything associated with legs, but thinks since he can bench, he could be a huge asset to the team.

He told me if he worked at it he thinks he could bench 500 and squat 500. What a joke..Maybe he needs to walk with his hands like that little girl on the exorcist. Like I said im going to have to get pics because until then noone can understand.

Funny stuff. Drop a plate on his hand so he can't bench and has no choice but to train another body part.

i got a part time partner just like that... three times a week pressin his little heart out. thing is, his physique is mildly impressive, but he's been over pressing for like five years. his chest is totally disproportionate to his body, he seriously is two walking tits... looks gross imo but yeah, his physique?
