    An Open Letter To The Mods of AR

    Hello,

    I've been a member of AR for 2 1/2 years and I've been most active within the past six months or so. This is by far the most informative site of which I'm currently aware. The information available is top notch and the members - while large in number - are very tight-knit and help each other in exceptional ways.

    That being said, the recent "attack" on AR by a few immature former-members is ruining my experience here. At first it was funny and cute and I might even say it was fun to verbally spar with some of them. But now it's never-ending and I've grown tired of sorting through their idiotic posts when trying to get some help or offer same help to others.

    If there is some drastic measure that has yet to be used on these people, I ask that it be unveiled. If you are currently doing everything possible, and it's just impossible to stay on top of them, I fully understand as well. If that's the case, then I'm going to move on and find another board. I may be missed or I may not. Either way, these people have ruined AR for me and that's too bad.

    I seriously hope this will stop. If not, I hold no ill will towards anyone at AR. But the Bad Man will be heading out.

    Don't leave. I personally have steered clear of the lounge for some time now because
    there is a lot of garbage there and it can get me a little worked up. Now that I refrain from entering argumentative threads and stick to the more postive I am happier. Let the mods do their job and try to resist these pests that you refer to.

    A wise man once told me to just ignore it, move past it, as you are the one who holds the power. Reducing who you are, going down to a subordinate level and letting these children affect YOUR reason for being here, should not be an issue. If/when it gets personal and attacking in horrific nature, it's always taken care of. In due time, the real people last, and the last people that were here weren't real.

    I think the mods here are doing all they can. As far as idiocy goes, AR is low on the totem poll. Hell, spend five minutes at EF and you can give your self a migraine wading through the asinine garbage they fester in. If you want to leave, I wish you well, but I think you are taking it to a bit of an extreme as far as rationale goes. I'm not one to kiss ass, but as I said before, I think it's been handled to the best of their ability. It doesn't take much to ignore posts you don't like.

    By the way, it seems like no matter what, all that's happening is some members adding to the "flame bait" by posting in these threads. If you ignored all of this, the fun would be gone for these people. Instead some have resorted to flaming back, and allowing threads to go on for 3+ pages, when it could have been quelled by simply ignoring it. Furthermore, by "leaving" and denouncing these actions, the only thing you have done is to validate the goals these clowns set out for in the first place.

    Do you have any suggestions? All we can do is lock the threads or delete them and ban the user. We can't ban the IP because the way things are set up, we would also be banning a number of other members as well. Our hands are pretty much tied...

    Agreed. Everything that can be done is being done, but the people that are making these posts are feeding off of the replies.....their weak minds hunger for that acknowledgement.....like puppies. They may keep coming by for a while and tugging on your pantlegs, but just ignore them, and they'll go away. In the meantime, they'll keep being banned and threads will be locked

    Hey guys,

    I know the mods are doing everything they can. It's like the Dept. for Homeland Security. You can spend billions of dollars safeguarding things but you're not going to stop one asshole with some dynamite strapped to his chest. So, I hope the mods didn't take this as an inference that they were doing a bad job.

    I guess I've been under a lot of stress lately and AR is one of my sources of relaxation. You're all right, I just need to ignore these mouth breathers and hopefully they'll get bored and move on.
