Will Xanex negatively effect my training?

Alright guys here is the scoup. My shrink is wanting to put me on a prescription of Xanex. In highschool I got in a really ****ty car accident I wasn't hurt but the driver of the other car, "my friends mom" was killed. It was some messed up ****. Anyway my mom'z finally talks me into going to see this shrink and she talks to me for five minutes I mean I just told her what happened pretty much and all the sudden I'm diagnosed with like 4 different things. The car accident was over three years ago, and I dont mind taking the xanex's they chill me right out, but if they are going to hinder my gains she can keepem. I'd appreciate any input, thanks bro's.

The only thing I noticed when i took some xanax on my last cycle was,it slowed my metabolism down to a snails crawl.Intensity in the gym was fine tho.

They will definitely cut down on the amount you can lift.. almost all anti-anxiety meds reduce neuro-muscular efficiency.

Xanax makes me feel like a zombie no way in hell i can lift as heavy or
intense taking that ****... Bro you shuold really question your shrink as
to why he feels you need this... IMO most doctors are way to quick to
just drug you instead of doing the extra work needed to help you...

Xanax has some nasty side effects and the longer you take it the worst
they get... Just my 2 cents, but I would demand more help and hold off
on him just making you a pill junkie... Xanax is a addictive drug bro...

I would just say don't take them unless you want to be on them for the rest of your life. I was diagnosed with all kinds of **** when I was 17. They tried to get me to take all kinds of ****. I refused. If it was not illegal I was not into it. I would just stay away from any anti deppresents if possible.

It was for a PTS(Post Traumatic Stress) diagnosis. I have stress, but who doesn't thats just a normal part of life. As far as all the stuff that happened to me is concerned, yeah it sucked and it was a really hard time in my life, but I made my peace with it. Thanks for the advice bro's, the last thing I need is to be addicted to some F*ckin pill.
