Canadian National Election
Not that many of care...but today in Canada we're voting for a new (hopefully) Prime Minister. The incumbent, Paul Martin, is running but I hope his Liberal supporters eat some Conservative humble pie!
Go Harper!!

Technically, we are still under the Queen of England.

In Canada there is almost no difference between the Liberal and Conservative parties. They have both moved very close to the middle and, in my opinion, are interchangeable. The only real choice you have is if you vote for the NDP, but they are so far to the left, they're almost communist. And then you have those fukknuts, the Bloc Quebecois. Don't get me started on those ass clowns. Well, at least Canadian politics is interesting.

The conservatives are getting my vote, but they scare the crap outta me... remember that most of them are the old Reeeform religious wackos who want to turn back the clock to 1045 on everything from abortion to minority rights.
So in effect I am NOT voting for the tories, but I am voting against the liberals for the same reason as others have said... I am tired of the waste, and my biggest issue (which swayed my vote) was the 2 billions wasted on the gun registry... anyone who know about firearms in Canada knows it ***hasn't changed a thing*** at all from the old registration system... except puttin 2 billions in *someones* pockets...
And of course the bloc-nazi would not get my vote even if they were the last party on the planet, I'd freakin vote for Doug Hennings "Natural Law" party and learn yogic flying before the blocheads got my ballot.

Conservatives got my vote.
Liberals are filling their pockets with tax payer's money. NDP would create another Soviet Union. Green Party or Bloc...'nuff said about those tools.

NDP. just cause I hate the liberals for thinking they can do what they want and get re-elected no matter what, and I have a feeling the conservatives are going run parliment just like them only fuk up things in their own way. It's too bad the NDP isnt stronger b/c they have some good ideas. I dont know what all this talk about them being communists is all about. ahh fuk it I'll just vote for the green party

I voted conservative as well.
Jay Leightton (Sp?), th NDP leader is just one of those guys that you get that bad feeling about. His little smile. He looks like he is just waiting to **** you. Evertime I see him on tv I think about him getting in and then laughing at people voting for him kinda thing.

The result of tonight's federal election is a shame really. Frankly, I'm sick of Harper getting portrayed as some sort of bogeyman. The only people who don't want a conservative gvt are people looking to freeload of the government in some way. Who do these people think is better served to run a country, an economist (Harper) or a lawyer (Martin)? To me the choice is obvious, but I am not, nor ever will be: a welfare bum, EI collector, or part of any other special interest group begging for a handout.
