I've seen it happen at least twice in the last year and you would not believe the panic it causes...

The last time the cops literally stopped traffic on a main boulevard, then they called me (god knows why, I guess they figure environment inspector = saving duckies), I went, said wow, then I called Public Works, they sent a Sewers maintenance team and they fished out the ducklings within minutes.

Thats not the funniest part though...

What killed me is that after all this, the cops actually escorted the ducks all the way to the river (about a block away), blocking traffic and all!
