Has anyone had their bf tested by the "underwater" method?...i would like to have this done and was wondering what it involves and how much $$$?
or is an electronic bf tester more accurate?

I just had mine tested using a Futrex machine (infa-red) and I think it was ridiculously erroneous. It reported that I was at 28% bf haha. I just had it tested a few months prior at 11.4. I wouldnt trust that machine for anything after seeing the recent results. BTW I have pics in my cycle thread in case anyone wants to see for themselves
no, i forgot what it is called, they come to my gym every couple months and charge $50Quote:

I did it as part of my course..
All you do is get in a bathing suit and get in the pool.. they have you sit on a seat in the water thats suspended with a scale.. then you exahle ALL your air and stick your head under water for as long as piossible.. 10 secs is fine..
they repeat it 3 times.. take the average and put it in a formula and your done.
go to a university.. cost 30$ at mine.takes 5 minutes
