    We book all of our travel on our own. I find much better prices on the internet than through an agency. I also stay away from resorts to save money. You just need to make a list of things you'd like to do while on vacation then search for locations where you can do those things. Also traveling off peak season will save you money. Most people don't travel to the Caribbean during the summer. That's the best time to go. (Less crowded, lower prices) Since it's not full of tourist you get a better feel of how the locals live. I've found prices as low as $150 to the islands. I used to just fly down for a weekend.

    Yes, you have to be careful when going there. If you go pick a hotel in a nice busy area where there's always a lot of foot traffic. Don't travel alone. Things like that.

    Whenever I travel some place warm I'll snorkel. We've been diving for a year. Haven't seen a shark yet. I'm looking forward to it.

    im definately going to start doing it. do you buy your own equipment or you rent theirs?
