I dunno, I'd gladly take any of those rides they create. They put about $30,000 in each ride. I'd easily take the "green ride w/22 inch spinning rims" if I was one of those people who was riding around in a sh*tbox.

I agree. There is no way I'd drive around in some of those ghetto mobiles. Plus, the amount of money they put in to refurb those cars you could go out and buy a brand new car.

They put a coffe machine in one where the gar stick would be in a manual. That looked really stupid! The chevy luv truck they did was really good tho.

I saw the truck where the back cover folded out to be a ping pong table. They made the truck into a portable pinic.

There are like 3 versions of this show...Pimp my Ride, Overhauled and one more...Rides I think. They do some pretty amazing stuff to these cars but I like the "understated attn getters" if somebody Pimped my ride...i'd have to sell it

Most of these cars that they destroy(touch) are junk. They did a sentra with some garbage bags for windows. What a joke. I remeber they did a cutlass with a intercom in the front and a karaoke machine in the back. So if they go parking lot pimpin, they have something to do. I geuss they can sing "its my party and I will cry if I want to". If they were to ever touch my escalade, I would take the lcds and rims. Get some gas, pour it around the truck and by accident start a new habit....smoking.Then call insurance.

Take a $100 car, add $40K worth of parts and accessories, get a car that's worth about $3k

My favorite ones are when the cars are so bad that they won't touch them because of the safty issues, so they just have to buy them a new car. Now that's when you know your cars ready for the junkyard.

Overhauled comes on the Learning Channel on Tuesday night at 9. I've seen it twice, and it is much better than Pimp My Ride. I like ole "X to the Z," as he calls himself on the show, but that show sucks!

I think the only tv I watch is the History Channel, World Poker Tour, American Chopper, and a couple of these car make over shows (PMR, Overhauled, & Ride with Funkmaster Flex).

The cars on PMR are entirely too ghetto for me. Overhauled is done by Chip Foose, and some of his stuff gets a little fruity, but it is done well. Flex restores & upgrades old American muscle....you gotta love that.

They dont do anything to the engine, so its still a $hitbox that looks "good." That show on discovery channel <all hail!> called overhaulin or sumthin, they actually rebuild the cars.

Foose is a creative genius, but you're right, he gets a lil fruity from time to time...

Funk Flex doesn't know the 1st thing about cars though ...

While you are correct, Flex hasn't a friggin clue about cars, at least he knows some people that do. They do some fine work on those rides, and this is a DJ getting into the 60's-70's muscle...that's what I like about it. I saw the very episode you just mentioned, and that made me laugh like hell when he said it...thanks for bringing that one back up.
