I have always wondered taht as well...
damm.. Mass and I had a common thought... im going down hill fast.. lol j/k mass
The HTML coding for the different colors of usernames (females mods etc) doesn't have an end tag so whatever color is last the commas will follow until another username with a different color comes up then it will follow the next commas and so on ;)
