Sick of BB Mags made up of 99% ads
Great articles printed on the cover, flipping through you find out it's a **** 10 page cell tech add or some other other pro builder holding a tub of the latest whey.
"I never could have built my 22" arms without Nitro Tech!"
"Ripped fuel, without it i never would have won the 2003 IFBB pro series!"
Flex and Musclmag are the WORST for this.

Nitro tech is the sh*t though!
I added 4 inches to my penis w/that product in 2 weeks alone!!! Forget the other muscles, use it for Russell the Love Muscle for great gym-like results!

Huh . . . was at an antique shop last weekend and they had a few old copies of "Physical Culture" magazine from the 1930's (Joe Weider's original rag?). They were sealed up, didn't see how much advertising they had. On the cover of one mag, a guy was hanging off the side of a tall building, looking quite comfy. Caption said, "It takes muscles to do this! Let us show you how to get them!" The guy had more of a gymnast's build.
Things haven't changed much in 70 years aside from nutrition and 'roids.

haha
Hey guys.
I don't read those rags. I'd rather spend a few minutes on here every night talking to you guys. I learn a lot more that way... I also can't stand seeing guys juiced out of their minds sitting on a weight bench hold a jug of creatine or protein touting how great it is. Then there's some bull**** study claiming 599% muscle growth. If I ever get that big you can bet I would never sellout the way some of these pros have. I have no respect for them and refuse to read those magazines. If they were two ply I'd use them as toilet paper.

Magazines suck. You are exactly right. Front cover says they have details on how to add 2 inches to your arms in one month. Then you read the article and it is just one big ad two pages long. It starts out good then you realize that he is just trying to get you to use a certain product. All just a waste of time. There might be two or three pages in there with good workouts but other than that........

Dam*, sounds like I'm plugging MD.

Are there any mags out there that openly discuss AAS use amongst the pros? I remember musclemag used to have a section that talked about AS but we can only get the Australian version here now which is just ful of the muscletech ads claiming to get you big and ripped in 8 weeks.

MD is a good one...the rest have their good issues on occasion- but Nitro Tech and Hydroxycut have ruined these mags!

aussie
aussie - i doubt it bro. a pro that admits to steroid use is committing suicide in that i doubt any supplement company would endorse them. instead they have to say that 1-ad caused 875% muscle growth in 6 weeks! - and, I got shredded and veins coming out of everywhere because of this NEW AND IMPROVED CREATINE!!!
i don't know... maybe i shouldn't be so harsh on the pro's, if i worked as hard and juiced as hard as they did for so little money i might be a lot more willing to sell myself out like most of them do.
if you find a magazine like that i'd LOVE to read it.
remember man, 4-ad caused 1100% muscle growth in a study done in our bodybuilding lab when compared to whey protein alone!!!
jokes like that are so common in my gym.

Was a good read. You mentioned that you were considering writing an article or two, I would like to read those also. Have you written them yet?
If so, could you PM me with the links, or post them if you have a chance.
Thanks bro.
