Should be an interesting Sunday!
looks awesome. u better post some pics when it is done.
i think it may hurt a bit. Enjoy!
Alright, i'm leavin to get this done in a few minutes. I have one question.. .i'm going to be outside at the race tomorrow...it's supposed to be 95+ degrees....how is this going to effect new ink?
don't let the sun hit it too much , this will cause it to fade faster
that tat is rad!
yeah, don't let the sun hit it for a week or so until the ink sets. I like the design, but it looks like an "O" around a "G"... so He'll like it for sure! ;)
20 minute intro to my new artist...whom I will use again!!!!!!
20 minute discussion about exactly what I want this thing to look like
50 minute tattoo
gotta say, great experience w/ new artist and LOVE the ink!!!!
The colors you chose are really nice. Really cool looking tat kc :)
Did it hurt getting the tat behind your neck?

it's a compass...slightly skewed to represent that I have a pretty good idea of where I want to go with my life, might not know exactly how I'll get there but am pretty sure i'll take the path less followed to get there....yep, its abstract but once you mention the compass....people seem to see it
Hmm.. sound interesting...Quote:

advice re. sun
new tattoo? cover it. DO NOT EXPOSE TO SUNLIGHT!!! fading is not even the issue at this stage, HEALING IS! use a thin layer of vaseline 4-5 X per day after washing gently and patting dry with a clean towel. avoid friction, dirt, dust, bath water and impacts. sleep on your front or side to avoid contact and keep hair away from the tattoo as much as possible as it heals.
after a month or so a tattoo MAY be exposed to sun but this is only possible if TOTAL sunblock is applied to the HEALED tattoo. i personally think this is not the best approach to preserving a tattoo - its much better to cover the tat in sunlight.
(to be specific, when in sunlight)
even with TOTAL BLOCK a tattoo's pigment will fade and the skin in that area will not tan as normal skin would.
Tattoo Goo is much better than vaseline-not a petrolium based product.
Hope it heals well...! I am sure you'll be getting another soon!
Hey ure tat is nice
kc,
Where did you get that design from?
I think it looks great, I especially like that it has a special meaning for you.
My rule of thumb is that any ink that goes on me has to have a special meaning for me.
allright...update on the new art.
kept it covered (of course) all weekend, used A&D 3x's a day and J&J baby wash to clean it. My ink ALWAYS seems to heal really really fast, it's already peeling....on day 3. Since it's so small, it'll be done peeling in a day or so and I'll have the finished product. I always get scared cuz it peels so early, but all my other ink looks great so I won't worry this time.
This compass was stolen from Franklin Covey....I like the irony that FC is a religous based company. I've been messing with the compass for awhile and actually found a similar design when I searched google. So, I played with it until it looked like I would describe it and there you have it.
All of my tattoos have some meaning to me, very important to me. Two of the 3 are original designs (my phoenix is someplace on this site) and the next one I'll get has been designed for over a year....i think i can draw it in my sleep ;)
So, there you have it. Thanks for ya'lls feedback, I like it too! Waitin for it to start itchin since it's peelin ;)
Very nice tat.
NIce work ... where do you sling ink bro? USA, UK, ?Quote:
