Pumping Iron
Last night was the first time I watched pumping Iron, my friends and I finished watching it around 12:00am. I was so close to go train right after, even though it was my day off. Arnold is a funny guy, I did not expect that from him big surprise. In the movie my friends and I were Laughing so much when they interviewed Franco Columbo. Some of my friends that were there are italian but when they were interviewing him non of us could understand a god **** thing what he was saying. That was so funny. Overall great movie very inspiring. One thing we all said were that there bodies look so perfect and clean back then. Today it looks to freaky.

There was some script in the movie, arnold the cocky one, lou the rookie listens to his farther, frank the loyal one etc

Greatest inspirational bodybuilding flick I've ever watched.
If I was Arnold, I'd have an ego as well........
When you beat everyone, you are entitled to be that way.

I love that flick, although much of it was scripted. I really liked Ken Waller and Robby Robinson though. The scene when Arnold, Serge, and Franco are pumping up in the small room is hilarious.
Edit:
Arnold Schwarzenegger: It's as satisfying to me as, uh, coming is, you know? As, ah, having sex with a woman and coming. And so can you believe how much I am in heaven? I am like, uh, getting the feeling of coming in a gym, I'm getting the feeling of coming at home, I'm getting the feeling of coming backstage when I pump up, when I pose in front of 5,000 people, I get the same feeling, so I am coming day and night. I mean, it's terrific. Right? So you know, I am in heaven.
Hilarious line.Last edited by Maraxus; 08-06-2004 at 07:38 AM.

That was funny too, it was so funny when they showed francos family back in italy.
His grand mother wearing that outfit, my nona never wore that That guy is so strong. But arnold looked perfect, one thing though they showed all of them 25 years later, and all the muscle were gone the only two who looked good still was lou and arnold. I hope that I will still train when I get older.

Yeah, It's a great movie!! I read Lou's book and come to find out his father never trained with him, in fact his father was not very supportive, but when they came to film the movie his father wanted to be in it. If you watch it you'll notice Lou getting annoyed with his father, it's because he never trained with him, only that time to get in the movie. Just a little pumping iron factoid for ya.

imo
i don't think we'll ever see a group of bodybuilders with clean lines and symmetry like that again.bb'ing is out of hand these days. only thing that could have made that movie any better would to have had my man zane in their for more than the museum part.

Pro's today (with the exception of a few, yes) are fat f*cks compared to the OG's of the earlier era.

Bodyduilding back then was more clean, sure there was a/s back then but it is not even close to the extent what is going on now. I looked at arnold then and it was like scuplture, I look at coleman and it just looks wrong. If that is what IFBB thinks is art, I geuss I will be old school and admire the past.

man im no body building expert but hell yeah u guys are rıght they looked so much beter back then so just tell me one thing how come guys dont look like that now it just doesnt make sense we got more scince on body building more types of gear and in general any sport is suposed to move forward with time.
so why is it they looked so much beter in my opion the difrence i see in thoses guys and body builders today is that guys today run into a wall in there training they either give up or turn to the nearest syringe guys back then didnt have all of this s**t we have now they had to work hard day in day week after week year after year and they loved it with a pasion and they got the results also now days body builders only lift heavey becase suposadly doing high reps with less load is aparatnly a wast of time whoever said this was just a lazy prick trying to convense himself that he wasent lazy and shouldent get out of bed to go to the gym today.
back then they always used hıgh reps to cut and define for contest and dont forget arnold had a problem with hes legs at the start of hes career it wasent 5 ton squats 3 sets of 5-8 it was own bodyweight squats in the gym 3-times a week that fixed hes probs
anyways sorry for talking so much just so angry at the lazy athlest that ruin any and all sports.
