What is the best way to download free music? I dl winmx. First it takes a half hour to connect and its slow as hell. Is there any other way to dl music at a faster pace? My connection is a t1 its pretty fast, but this program (winmx) is extremely slow.

P.S. I want the newer song by Akon ft. Obie trice. If anyone has it or knows about a way to get it holla at me.

Winmx is fast for me. Are you on a primary connection or secondary?

Loz Im on a secondary connection, which is the connection they (winmx) recommend. It takes like an hour to dl one song. Yet, when I go to a site like singingfish.com (free music dl site) it takes about a minute to dl a song. So I dont think its my connection.

Well it may be the other persons modem. Try d'loading the song from another person. I don't know, like I said I have been using Winmx since the Napster days and never had issues.

winmx is my choice too, when ur looking for a song look for the one with the most users who have it, if ur downloading less popular type music then u will have to settle for whatever u can find which can cause a slow download...

Thanks fellas. One other question. Does winmx take along time to connect with your cpu? It takes almost 30mins to connect. When I had kazaa it was an almost instant connection.

Loz Im going to kick this fing cpu. Now the connection was instant. I just signed on and boom connected. Ugh. Well, hopefully the dl times will speed up.

Sometimes there are problems but 90% of the time it is good to go.

Another question. I know what the number of users means, duh, but what does the status/server column mean? For example when it says 0+1 available?

Green 0 is ready for immediate download red 1 is how many users are in queue.

Do a google on WinMx Monitor. It is the perfect companion for Winmx.

Just downloaded it and seeing if its as good as you say it is. To download more than one transfer go to settings and place it on 0 max downloads. That is no limit.

Oh boy Im like a little kid in toys rs. 90kb/sec, hell yhea. I lost all of my music do to a virus attack. Can you still get kazaa k++? I looked for it on google but no luck.

try searching under kazaa lite.
