Hey you guys know any good aftermarket car alarms? Im looking at the Viper 771, that seems pretty good, could get it installed/purchased for 300 bucks. Any other suggestions?

check out a brand called CrimeStopper....My g/f has one on her ride and the "crank start" feature works a long distance!!(like while sitting in class and stuff...)

Lojack is suppose to be good, but its not really and "alarm" i dont think

get a multi lock on your gear shift..
yea i bought the auto lock for the clutch so you cant start the car, but now i want something wiht a 2-way transmitter that lets me know if someone is ****ing wiht the car.
you can add a remote start to a manaul trans....
anyways...
stick with a DEI brand (Directed Electronics), which would be viper, sidewinder, python, clifford, automate, etc....
They are the leaders in car security....
$300 bucks isnt bad, if they arent going to charge extra for door locks, etc...
I always recommend a proximity sensor (motion) as well (about 80 buck installed) which will give you a little more protection

i know you can add a remote start but like a jerk id forget that i left the car in gear and then i will have to chase my car lol
lol, that would not be good!
...i have the clifford matrix, it has the two way transmitter, its pretty nice. be prepared, it only comes with one remote, and the alarms will only work with two-way remotes...which are like 70-100 bucks each.
