    Who here is in the military/ROTC?

    I am in the Air Force ROTC and I know that soldier_of_misfortune is in ROTC as well. I was just wondering who else here was/is in the military/ROTC?

    Women over 30 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you, if they think they can get away with it.

    For all those men who say, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free". Here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage, why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire Pig, just to get a little sausage.

    US NAVY!
    I did the ROTC thing- lots of bullcrap put out in those classes- most of the instructors havent been in the mix in quite awhile. I was in Army ROTC and did a stint with the NROTC while active duty at UW..I had to leave that crap..most instructor saw ZERO days at sea, delpoyed etc, had never had military responsibility- (or atleast not in the last 3 decades!) - which is heresy IMO for a military man- worthless.
    I suppose it is a good way to get a commission, I am not knocking that one bit- just the circus that runs most units is a joke.

    All our instructors have had alot of duty time. Iraq, Afganistan, Korea, and all kinds of other places. One special forces captain has some fvcked up stories from Afgan.

    I was in the Army during the 1st Gulf War. Airborne All the Way!

    R = Recruit
    O = Officer
    T = Training
    C = Core
    However, I was not an Officer and would not want to be one, I worked for a living. I got out as an E-5 or buck sergeant.
