Tetnis Shot in shoulder

On saturday i was working and a rusty nail went through the webbing of my hand and the nurse gave me a shot in the shoulder.... she said it was intramuscular but i think it was only a 1/2 in pin.... The shot was great it was painless

the shot itself is painless..
however from what I remember the next day or so I was in SO MUCH PAIN!!

did you laugh at the nurse and say" aw that aint sheeit bitch!" and pull a crocadile dundee and say " thats not a needle, this is a needle!(while wipping out a 1 1/2 inch 18 guage)

or i was going to say, shouldnt you pull out to see if bubbles or blood go into the needle lol

I give tetnus 3 or 4 times a week in the ER. I use a 25 5/5" pin. It's much more comfortable for the patient and since the general population doesn't have deltoid mass there's less chance of hitting bone by going too deep. Yes I have hit bone more times than I can count.
