I hit 175 on my GSXR on the beltway in Houston. That speed is no joke. The small ups and downs on the street that you normally dont feel are like driving over speed bumps, they come so fast. Oh...dont even think about lifting your head up over the wind screen....

That must have had intake, exhaust, headers OR turbo. Saw a Busa turbo with 210 hp to rear wheel, not street legal, but that doesn't stop some people.

I work for a radio station and the info we said was it WAS a modified bike and he was clocked by a police airplane from the time he hit a marker until the next marker. He went 1/4 mile in 4 seconds. You do the math. Said he was "mathed" in at 204. Nuts if you ask me.

My R6 hits 150 with ease and its 5 years old with no mods. And again that is only a 600cc. Haybusa's are either 1200 or 1300cc. I believe the latter is correct.

Excuse me? One of my bros owns one of the top dragging busas and got 235 at the salts last year... I have got mine up to 215 before I let off. Only things I have done to it are a turbo and exaust.

The ones they just released are. the older ones dont have a govener... and no, a stock busa will runa bout 190-195.

Now about the post, i have no idea why he stoped... A few times myself on high end runs i have had lights flash behind me, just keep at the throttle untill they are well out of site, and get of the highway, and get home. Thats what most bro's do.

and the chopper thing is right, there is NO cop chopper that would hit 200mph, they have news crew choppers and the like, not an apache!

actually most bikes from 1997 and up are only off by a small fraction of 1% in their speedo. my bike for instance i know has an error range of +/- .2%.
so if i was doing 200mph per the speedometer, i would be doing 200mph +/- .4mph....not quite the 15mph error range you posted!

I cant count for other bikes, but I know my busa's spedo is off quite a bit, 200 reads about 180 real, thats why I use my GPS to track all the speeds I post

Both then new R1 and ZX-10 will outrun a busa on acceleration AND top end. Both hit close to 190 off the showroom floor. Change the sprocket or add a gear and you could easily top 200

How is hitting close to 190 stock outrunning the busa? but yes, the R1 has a little bit better accel than the busa, but the slight increase ( you will still win easily if your a better rider than the r1 driver) doesnt make up for the comfort factor IMO.
