I imagine that getting the flight isn't the problem so much as the cost of the ticket on short notice being sky high. I don't know if post 9/11 you're allowed to transfer frequent flyer miles to someone else (or if you ever were able to), but if that's possible, I gladly hand mine over to you. I'll check the FAQs now and see.
