Has anyone here slept on one of these memory foam pad. Is it as comfortable as they claim?

I had an entire mattress made of that stuff (6" thick) and it was great. Problem is that stuff will compress after a year or two -- at least, mine did. It's particularly good for folks who tend to toss and turn in their sleep, because the stuff molds to your body and resists movement. Sorta like sleeping in mud, only without the mess.
I got rid of it after 5 years because the sag in the middle got to be too much . . . now I have a regular spring mattress . . .

If all you get is a pad, the effect won't be so pronounced. Oh yeah, they make memory foam in different weights -- something like 3 lb, 4 lb, and 5 lb, with the heavier being much better, and not compressing as much.
