Shoulder Injury....HELP!!!

Need some real help with an injury here bros. ....about 6 months ago I hurt my shoulder real bad...don't know how or why, it just got hurt BAAAD. Couldn't even move my arm for like a week. It felt like something deep inside my arm was throbbing. I took 2 months off from working out, and took plenty of Glucosamine and Chondroitin and it got to about 95%. I went back to the gym, However, as soon as I went back to the gym it would hurt during and immediatly after my workouts(especially during chest days), not too much, just a slight pain. I worked through it for a couple months and It almost went away completely during the past 3 months, and then this past week it came back almost as bad as the 1st time. I have no idea why. I've continued taking my joint supplements, and I haven't done anything new except for reverse preacher curls, but that wouldn't really injure a shoulder would it? The only other possibilty is that it gets hurt while im at work, i just started back into full time. I have a job where my left arm is constantly going through a reptitive motion of lifting it up and over to drop papers into slots. When i do this i do feel a strain by the end of the day, but it's not really a huge exertion of force, or being held up for more than 10 seconds at a time, but the motion is done literally hundreds of times per day, which i guess in a week really adds up. Any clues guys? I don't know what to do with it. I don't wanna take another 2 months off, and repeat the cycle. :unsure:

Sounds like a rotator injury to me dont work through the pain bro get to a doc and have a mri ,if you have started a tare in it ,then it can be repaired ,if the tare gets big enough to the or you go ,also some deca will help ! just my op bro , good luck .

I'v had my fare share of shoulder problems in the past 2 years so I really here where your coming from. Like gymnut said it could be your rotator cuff , or it could be a tendon or even a combo of both, maybe even some light nerve damage. To find out exactly whats your you'll for sure need an MRI, they might choose though for your shoulder to do a CT (Computed Tomography) scan....they inject a dye into your shoulder to be able to see the damage even better than a regular MRI (VERY painful though....I never want to have one again) Maybe try taking some Anti Inflamitories along with your Glucosamine as well, I recommend Vioxx or Celebrex myself, both of which work great for my shoulder. The advice the guys have offered is good but don,t work through a shoulder injury it is the joint that is injured most often and injuries are very common it is also the most unsupported joint.Take care of it and get it seen to

You need to warm up and stretch the rotator before you workout. I warm it up before I do shoulders, back, and chest.

Try this: Sit on the floor next to a flat bench and put your elbow on the bench so that your arm is directly out to the side, and bend 90 degrees at the elbow so that your fist is facing the ceiling. Now grab a light dumbell (I use 10-15 lbs) and lower the weight forward until your fist is facing the wall in front of you (90 degree rotation). Then rotate back to where you started, making sure that your elbow remains planted during the entire rep. Do it slow and do 2-3 sets of 15-20 reps for each arm. It worked for me.

Thanks for the replies, I'm gonna get to the doctor to have it checked out as soon as I can. I read something about "ART" Active Response something or other and how it has helped a lot of pros. Might look into that as well, anyone have any experience with this? There is a guy only a few miles from me. Gonna have to check it out.
