Not sure how much that position would demand.
The only bit of advice I can give is to ask for more then you would expect.
In other words aim high. There's a great saying "you only bite the apple once"
This is assuming that they contacted you and want you. Remember you are selling yourself, so the sky is the limit

I'm an IT contractor and whenever someone asks me how much I'm looking for, I ask how much their offering, that kind of puts the ball back in their court. Usually though, I'd start high, like 20% higher than what I'm currently on and let them negotiate from there.

In US that position demands from 35-40K buts its usually around 15-20K plus majoirty of it is in bonus. I dont know what that translates over to UK its probably not a simple currency conversion ratio. You can also check out www.salary.com

Never give an exact amount. That's like playing Roullete bro. Talk in salary ranges. I wouldn't even say what you currently make. I would just say, in order to leave my current position, I would need something between $x and $y. The only reason for him to know what you currently make is for his negotiating purposes

If I am not mistaken we are in the AR Lounge and the description for this section of the board is "Talk about whatever you want. Off topic discussion" Therefore I would assume that talking about one's job would be considered part of an "off topic descussion". I mean correct me if I am wrong here...but wouldn't u agree???
