Exclamation For A Better America Vote Kerry!

Today is the day for U.S. elections and I urge everyone who is undecided to vote Kerry… As an educated person, a teacher, a combat veteran, a union member, and as a concerned citizen I urge every to vote Kerry because Bush is taking this country in a scary direction. Anyone is a better option than Bush…Make this a country for the people by the people not for big business by big business…
    Thanks

In this election, I'd rather vote with a bullet.

Not that I condone that sort of thing, but I'd personally prefer a second American revolution to the 2 choices we have. Both are so far to the left it's not even funny, we're living in the Socialist States of America. Every time a law is made, every time a politician strikes his pen, you and I lose another freedom, another choice, another liberty. How many more will we give up for this false sense of security we're being sold?

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Nobody is going to swing anybody here. Have you ever seen a larger group of headstrong, determined people? With strong convictions I might add. I really don't think it matters. And that's not a bad thing.

You cant be too educated if your voting for Kerry. He is a WEAK person who has NO core convictions!! I certainly dont want someone like that running this country. He voted for the war in Iraq then decides it was the wrong war at the wrong time then tells Diane Sawyer in an interview that it depends on the outcome of the war if it was worth it!?? Make up your mind!!! This is an office where very important decsions are made and i dont feel confident that John Kerry would be fit for president.if you dont like either canidate DONT VOTE! Big business provides jobs for the american people...who do you work for???

So you must be voting for Nader........ as no educated person could support the policies of Kerry... unless you are still looking for your jet pack that was promised in the 60's......if we were ever able to discover what those were..

I hope kerry wins.. i have a good feeling he will.

I also have a good feeling Bush will do his famous magic trick. You know the one where you win the white house but lose the election.

    -Social security
-federal income tax (we took up guns for MUCH less against england)
    -The patriot act
--anabolic steroid act of 1990 and now 2004 (my personal favorite)
-homeland security and everything that goes with it
    -assault weapon ban
-the DEA and everything that goes with that
    -welfare/tanf
    -government grants of certain natures

That's just a few off the top of my head. These are not the acts of a government that holds personal freedom and responsibility as a #1 priority, now is it?

Now just do a simple test. Take any of the founding fathers and drop them in the middle of today. With todays laws, taxes, policies etc. I'd be willing to bet they would open a vein to see how far we as a country have swung toward exactly what they started a revolution against. What we are living under today is not what they had intended, or even the people of america just 50 years ago. Just think about it.

George Bush is where he is today due to his father's ambition not his. He was a mediocre student and is well quailified to be a Walmart manager. Big business provides wealth for shareholders and top management. They have no desire to hire Americans when cheap labor is available in China, Mexico, etc.

Well you can thank a liberal for most of those laws but these restrictions have come because our society has changed since 1776. You can think a liberal for social security. And what about income tax? How is the govermnet suppose to pay for defense and things of that nature? What was the federal budget in 1776 vs. 2004? I do agree with you that there are many programs like welfare etc that is a complete waste! but the problem is you have liberals in congress like kerry that want to expand goverment rather than reduce it. How can you say Bush is too far left...cause of the patriot act? What about goverment grants? You sound like you are a libertarian.

I'm not argueing the necessity or the right/wrongness of the laws, or who made them....believe me, I have been awake and paying attention. I'm merely pointing out how far to the left this country has shifted, and most of it in the last 40 years or less, with a couple large hits like federal income tax (to pay for WW1 and we never stopped) and Social Security (FDR's plan to buy everyone out of the depression, make them feel better and get back on the horse that threw them).

Libertarian? Hmmm.....not really, ex-card carrying republican conservative that feels the republican party has drifted much too far to the left in the last 16 or so years. But I suppose I do have libertarian tendancies on a lot of things.

I hope no one's anticipation is too high.....because if this vote is anywhere near as close as the last election was, then all that is going to happen is it will get dragged out in court for a week again. And from the looks of the heavily divided population right now, it is going to be close IMO. So I am not going to get over excited about who won etc. because as of now I am not expecting to know for another week or so lol. Unless it isn't close and there won't be any of the BS we went through in 2000. I hope I am wrong because I really don't want to wait a week, but I am not getting myself exicted just in case
