Computer/Stereo feedback
I have my computer hooked up to my stereo, everything works fine except for some feeback I get. There is a low humming noise that comes from my stereo when I plug my computer into it. My roomate has the same problem. Anyone know what it is and how I can get rid of it?

First thing, make sure your computers audio mixer has the microphone turned off and muted...
If thats not the problem, then you're getting an electrical ground loop... fixing ground loops are not always easy. First thing you got to make sure the stereo and the computer are in the same outlet.
If that doesn't work, then you need to fully electrically isolate the computer from the stereo, for that you need to find special cables with audio insulation transformers in them (not cheap).
Just do a quick google search for "ground loop", it's a pretty nasty problem.
