Actually, Phil Donahue was trying to show an execution on tv a few years ago, but the PRO-death penalty people fought against it. I'm not sure that they would want to show a mentally retarded guy talking about dying on tv.

I am actually surprised they found him guilty and gave him the death penalty. All of the evidence that was leaked to the media was circumstancial - If you're going to convict someone there needs to be solid evidence and no doubt at all that he committed the crime. Its not beyond reasonable doubt that he slew his wife.

Do I think he did it ? Yea , probably . The guy probably didn't want to tarnish his clean image with a divorce and he probably didn't want to pay child support for the next 18 years . But my intution is not enough for me to say " yea , he deserves to die " . The Prosecution didn't prove he was at the murder scene during the murder . what they did prove was that he went fishing , after that the body appeared there .

Now say I am Mad Cleteus , an axe murderering satanist red neck ( Yes , they do exist.. ) and I killed laci peterson... I see the cops are investigating her **** head husband and suspect that he droped her body off in some lake... I am going to go dug up her body from under my shead and throw her in that lake and hope the cops find her. That way they'd definately suspect him , even prosecute him. That way no one would suspect ol' Cleteus...No one would even think of another possible suspect ... They'd just go after scott .
