I just bought 2 cords of woo which should be 4' high x 16' long and the bastard stacked it (I wouldn't let himm criss/cross it like they want to to rip you off. Anyway I went out and measured the stack and it's 4' x 12' he ripped me off 1/2 a cord should I stop payment and deduct that charge and send him the proper ammount or blow it off? I'm pissed theses firewood guys around here are like gypsies!!! :unsure:
P.s some of these dudes have been known to come back and steal the wood if they are pissed at you.

Be careful...in some states if you stop payment for service rendered you can be charged. Depending on the $ in question it can be a felony! Check with your Police Dept or District attorney first.
You might want to photograph it, show the measurements and then send him a letter telling him you intend to file a small claims suit against him if he doesn't deliver the rest of the wood you are due. You could try the "nice approach" first. Give them a chance to come and deliver the extra wood....because you are sure they didn't intend to short you that half cord...etc. If that doesn't work....write and threaten the lawsuit.
Just wondering how much you paid for that wood...just wondering what the rates are in your area..
I see oak for sale here for $140/cord.
