Snowboarding
I live in Michigan so of course we have the crappiest winter weather all the time. The only thing I like about winter is snowboarding. I picked it up last year and went a couple times. Its pretty fun. I was wondering if anyone else snowboards?? or if you do any other activities that involve this "wonderful" snow??
A short story for you guys and gals...last year, my first time going out snowboarding was horrible for about the first 2 hours. I hated it. My legs were killing me cuz my smartass was working out my legs the day before going snowboarding. I didnt realize how much I would be using my legs to keep balance. It is definitely a fun sport but winter in general sucks.

Thanks for that link OG. I am going snowboarding January 2nd with a bunch of people. A couple of my buddies are real good but I am still sort of like a newbie. I was thinking about buying my own board but I only go maybe 3-5 times a year so I dont know if that is worth my money?? What do you guys think? and where can I get a good board for a beginner at a decent price?

I love ebay, but I dont really know the things to look for in a board. What are some things I should be looking for in a used board? and should I consider a used board just buy a new one?

Buy a cheaper new entry level board. If you only go a few times a year that board will serve you for a long time until you get too advanced and it wont let you advance further. Then you can move up to an intermediate board, etc. Entry level beginner boards w/ bindings run around $200-$300.

never been and never plan on going. I hate the cold, and its pretty expensive. I dont feel like driving 2 hours either. Ill just go down my hill on a skateboard instead.
