    ipod help

    Ok I got an ipod for christmas and i looked in the instructions and it said i need windows 2000 or XP to use it and I have 98. Is there anything i can download to make my comp compatable. I looked on the windows website and it said i can get a free upgrade to XP but i cant find where to download it.

    The only things free from Microsoft are the bugs in there sh!ty software. You are going to have to spend the bucks bro and buy a copy.

    Actually thats not entirely true, you can download a full free copy of Windows XP 64bit beta

    He can use this but he won't be able to use iTunes. Part of joy of having an iPod is how it automatically synchs to iTunes. You don't have to manually download songs to it. Plus he won't be able to use the iTunes music store.

    Just upgrade to 2000 or XP.

    If he were to upgrade i would probably suggest 2k over XP as its not as demanding. The fact that his computer has 98 installed suggests its not the most powerful thing out there.
