just wondering who all plays halo 2 online from AR, maybe we could blow the **** out of each other?

Also, what kinda of connection do you need to get online? I use satelite internet, so no phone line?

To play halo2 you should get X-box live the rankings alone are worth 50 bucks, plus when you connect they match skill levels so it's an even game all the time.
Now that’s a MASSIVE Difference.


I don’t believe you can play with satellite broadband your upstream is to slow.

you dont need any extra hardware, all you need is a pc and a cable to connect the two

Didnt see that he mentioned he had satellite sorry. Yea all uploads have to go through a modem, so you are limited to 56k uploads, you'd typically get around 4/5kbs upload speed - which isnt great. As gaming servers are constantly sending and recieving information you may have some trouble.

Its not very popular in the UK as most people are in an area that broadband is available.

Satellite is generally used for "rural" areas.

Also, where you are downloading, say for example you have a fast 3mb download speed, this will never really get upto anything near 300kbs, especially when online gaming. As the server will require packets to be sent back to confirm delivery, there will be about 1/2 second delay which will slow down the connection and will probably cause lag too.

I have a "modded" xbox.

Bro im on XBC. I cannot use XboxLive. Microsoft has put a new system in place, as soon as you log onto XBL the service will scan your xbox HDD for foreign files, or anything out of the ordinary - and ban you from the service. Even, if you have a chip fitted, and you turn it off when going onto XBL, you will still get banned. They stepped up the security when HALO 2 was released. So this means that anyone with a "modded" xbox will not be able to go onto XBL, Unless all files, hidden files, temp files, programs etc etc, bios etc are removed from the XBox before connecting, and even then there is doubts as to if it will work.
