Gorillas are more aggresive but I think the Bear would take this one being bigger, heavier, etc. And I think the only aggresive animal bigger than a kodiak is a polar so.

judging from the pics, the girilla would eat the bear in one lol. the gorilla looks well pissed, whilst the bear looks cute! but, pics aside, the bear would win. having fought both (and won easily), the bear put up a slightly better challenge, but it still went down! ROAR!

I've read that a "Chimp" has the strength of 7 men, so I can only imagine the strength of a silver back.

But I'm usure, a sivler backs fighting style is "fist pounding" and i'm just not sure how that will face up to animal with claws and teeth.

Come to think of it, I've never seen a silver back kill another animal on T.V.

I've seen two male silverbacks fight on a nature show. Besides strength they also use teeth. SilverBacks are bad ass. The TV show showed one turn over a tree.

Brown bears have a large hump of muscle over their shoulders which give strength to the forelimbs for digging. Their forearms end in massive paws tipped with extremely powerful claws that can be up to 15 cm (5.9 inches) in length. Unlike the claws of other large predatory animals, such as lions or tigers, the claws are not retractable. This gives the claws a dull edge when compared to other predators. Despite the relatively dull edges to their claws, the sheer force of a blow from a large specimen is devastating.

Brown Bears are legendary for their physical stamina.

Some exceptionally large male Kodiak stand over 3 m (10 feet) in height while on its hind legs, and weigh over 680 kg (1,500 lb).
gorillas are nowhere as heavy or tall as a brown bear
the gorilla would be frighteneed (maybe) by the sheer size of a bear. The bear easily outweighs the gorilla, as well

That tiger messed that lion up, i did not finish watching either fight though.

I guess Lions are adapt to fighting in groups though, and tigers alone.

That bear fighting the lion just kept coming back for more!

Did you see King Kong? All 9 hours of it?

He ripped a T-Rex's jaws open and bit it's tongue off.
As far as a real gorilla and a Kodiak, I'd have to see it pan out.

Maybe this should be the main event in the next UFC if they ever expect anyone to order th fights again.

Well, lets check the stats at weigh in:

Kodiak bears are the largest bears in the world. A large male can stand over 10' tall when on his hind legs, and 5' when on all four legs. They weigh up to 1,500 pounds. Females are about 20% smaller, and 30% lighter than males.

    Silver Back Gorilla:
Males: Up to 6 feet tall, standing. Females: Up to 5 feet tall.
Weight: Males: 350 pounds. Females: 215 pounds.
    Predators: Predominantly humans. Occasionally leopards.

My money is on the guy who is roughly 4.29 times bigger, armed with razor sharp claws, a nasty set of teeth and can run at over 40 miles per hour for distance. Oh, and he does not occaisionaly get eaten by a fuking thing except well armed humans.

And whoever put those animals in those cages to fight, ought to be thrown in between them, I'd like to think that as a species we have evolved past using animals in our gladiatorial games.
