Just watched the worlds strongest man contest
They showed some old footage with kazamier and franco columbo doing the refrigerator walk...Columbo tried to run with it and the weight of the fridge crushed him to the ground.
Dam those guys have some serious ass power!!!

They have't released the name of the substance he tested positive for but the IFSA Banned substance list has all of the regular anabolics/performance enhancing drugs as well as most rec drugs, so who knows?

I remember that from way back as a kid, i was watching it when they
aired it way back when... **** I must be getting old... Franco injury
was severe and if you go back and read any of the old articles from
when it happened he never thought he's be able to come back and
compete in Bodybuilding again, matter of fact when he did and won
his win was criticised because his legs were never as good as they
were before the injury, but they were good enug IMO for the win...
BTW Kaz still is a freaking beast and probably in his prime would
still beat all the top guys of today...

I had heard that too but I watched the 2004 Strong Man finals (Bahamas Dec 04) and Mariusz finished 3rd behind Vasyl Virastyk and Zydrunas Savikas. The speculation is that it was for rec drugs and not AAS related. I know though that he lost WSM competition outright and was not disqualified resulting in his loss.
Top 6 were:
1. Vasyl Virastyk,
2. Zydrunas Savikas
3. Marius Pudzianowski
4. Mangnus Samuelson
5. Raimund Bergmanis
6. Svend Karlsen

Do you know what Hugo can Clean & Jerk Rex?
Interesting to compare what these guys can do compared to Olympic lifters...
I might be biased but IMHO the strongest man in the world is Hossein Rezazadeh with a C&J of 263.5 kg (580 lbs).
