Any WRX owners here?
Hey guys and gals just wondering is any of you are lucky enough to drive a WRX. What mods have you done so far, if any, or what would you like to do...
Here's my list:
Cobb AccessPort @stage 2 @ 91 octane
Stromung catless downpipe
Magnaflow exhaust
Eibach Pro kit
Koni adjustable shocks
Front and rear stress bars
18 Rota Subzero's
K&N panel filter
Soon to be added after taxes: Cobb 25mm sway bars.

4th gen camaro owner here, but im lookin into wrx's. they arent that fast, but they are one of the few 4bangers that i like the exhaust note of, and with the snow i get around here, its a bitch with a RWD vehicle. Plus, im older now, i dont need a camaro, i need something functional.

my 0 to 60 time is 4.9 to 5.3 seconds.
my wrx is a better car in the twisty's than the straight line, I live in northern caly and my wrx just loves all the roads around here. Hey Hed, go to the dealer and take one for a test drive after a big snowfall and you'll see why the wrx is such a good car.

My best friend has one...he has full exhaust from downpipe back, cobbs tuning system, Tein springs and a few other minor things like a blow off valve and such. They are definitely nice cars but my Talon owns it

WRX's are peppy yes, but the reason they do so well 1/4 mile stock (14.1ish range) is cause of the sweet 60' you can pull with the AWD. From a roll, they arent too well. If that cobbs tuning thing upps your boost, ill believe 265ish HP for you.
And as far as testing one in teh snow, thats what i want it for. My car blows apes in the snow. WRX would probably handle as good as my car in the twisties, plus be good in the snow.

My next mod
So I was doing my taxes the other day and I've got some money coming to me, so I was thinking of adding sway bars to the car.
http://cobbtuning.com/wrx/suspension-i.html#swaybar
These are the ones I'd be going with, tell me what you think. I haven't had a car with beefed up sway bars since I was 17. Wow, twenty years ago.

i own all of you with my "ricer"
btw, why is an evo a ricer and a scooby not??
ahh the evo scooby debate, its a known fact, evos own scoobys all the time, they just are the better car

I guess I should of clarified myself on Mitsubishi’s, I'll give you props on your Evo, they're pretty cool cars too. I just really don't care for the mits eclipse. I also don’t think the comparison between the WRX and the EVO is fair. Now the WRX STI vs. the EVO, that's a fair challenge. Give me another few months to save for a turbo upgrade, and then we'll talk.
Peace dude,

Wont you both be upset when the new mazda6 MSP pisses on you both with its stock 275HP. Not bad for jap crap but i still prefer hanging my arm out the window of an old school V8.

and as for a mazda with 275bhp roflmao
my car has a mere 420lbft@3500 rpm with 422bhp at around 6400rpm will do 0-60 in about 3.5 or less 0-100 in about 9 and the 1/4 @ about 11.8
not bad for a mere ricer

I got a 93 Talon TSI which is mostly stock, and a 91 5.0 which is worked, hope to take it to the track this summer. By the way, I went to englishtown when it was STI vs EVO and the STI's got smoked. I think there's a price difference between the two though. My buddy actually has a sick SRT-4 that pulls unbelievably hard (mucho modded), but fwd is obviously not a 1/4 mile car. Really cheap though.

^^^ Oh yeah, the fastest at englightown out the the SVO STI or Talon was a 1st Gen Talon ran really low 10's. Tough to compare though when it's had 10 years of aftermarket vs 10 months.

I love my DSM. I just had it for about 8 months now but good luck with it so far.
Only problem I have is everyone I see tries to race me...gotta love living in the motor city.

Here we go:
DSM's = crap, way too unreilable
STi's = good cars, sound pretty **** good for a 4banger
EVO's= quite quick, only thing i dont like is the wing and the exhaust note
whoever said your 1998 mustang would own a friggin M3, i laugh. 94-98 mustangs were slow as balls, even the 5.0/4.6's. M3's run in the territory of LS1's, meaning 13.3ish stock. What other car can you get a 13.3 out of, and still cruise around in total luxury? Not a 225hp mustang...........
Out of all the cars mentioned, id rock the M3 the most.
But my dream car still:
1987 Buick Grand National to mod
M3 as a daily driver
WRX for the winter
