Why does baseball get such a bad rap

Why does Jose Canseco take such a bad rap along with baseball? It's not like the NFL isn't juice central. My friends that play stack so much its almost crazy. Give the baseball a break!

i would agree, its just all publicity. Supposably (according to Jim Rome) canseco's books went to the publisher and got rejected a few times, this was most likely his idea to get it published and to get some money. Its all about the $$

yea, the whole reason for Canseco doin what he did was for publisty and money. I just can't believe that he went behind former teammates backs like he did. that's a nderstood no-no in pro baseball, i would guess for any other pro sport as well but i can only speak for a fact for baseball

Assuming he tells the truth, that is. Usually when athletes go public about their AAS use, they really downplay it (Lee Priest, Arnold, etc).

i got some family in the front office of a Pro football team, and they are real strict on the testing, but its only during season, so allot of them juice in the offseason, or go to drastic means to pass a test.

football has the most sophisticated/toughest drug policing system in all pro sports. yet we all know players juice and get away with it. But what it does do is put a facade on the steroid issue in the NFL. basball had no testing so of course it looks like everyone is ok with it.
