Costa Rica
Can anyone that has been to Costa Rica tell me where there are some gyms over there, if there is any. Also how is the "supplement" scene over there??
Thanks.

The problem with CR as Maraxus pointed out is that the gear is overpriced. I lived in Quepos for a year, and trained regularly there. You can walk into a pharmacy and write your own scrips, but knowing this appeals to foreigners, the locals have raised prices to American levels. This holds true for other popular drugs as well (Viagra, etc).
The good news is that because they have developed a market, there is good availablity.
For a while I continued buying anti-e's through a pharmacy once I had returned to the US, but their prices nearly tripled alomst overnight once popularity increased.
I still don't like the idea of going to a foreign country to fill a shopping list and being faced with the prospects of bringing anything home, but to each their own.
Prices in CR have increased dramatically since 2001, but the opportunity exists.
Sam
