PS2 dvd player formats

What formats can the playstation 2 dvd play? Can it handle xvid or divx?

Or is it just mpeg?

2 years ago i tweaked my PS2 ,i implement a little malizian device inside the hardware of the ps2 and and cut some wires(i had the map that learn how to do it) and now it run ripped and copy dvds and all the kind of dvds from gold to divx.

Militia how do you do that??? My ps2 won't play my ripped dvd's and ripped vcd's but normal dvd players will(crappy ps2 sonny you pos company!!!)... Ah, I just watch them on a normal dvd player wouldn't be worth the trouble...

i know it wont hahaha, her in lebanon we all tweak the PS1 and PS2 and buy those 3$ /dvd games ,i will see if i can find the map and scan it for u,but u have also to get the malizian device and implement it beside the cpu and connect it to the memory and the cpu.

unless you have the new PS2 with the CD-RW you wont be able to read even burned Audio CD's. YOu will need a MOD Chip installed.
