It's more than some people I know can do.
Surely someone can do better.

I'm sure there are lots of mechanics here and lots of people who work on their automobiles.
I've just never been inclined to learn.

Been in mechanics since the day I bought my first car at 16 Didn't have a choice... fix the shîtbox or walk.
I had to learn.
Then before becoming an inspector, I worked 8 years in fleet management for my borough with over 200 motorized units from riding lawn mowers to caterpillar front end loaders and graders including 6, 10 and 12 wheel dumpers, fire trucks, and specialized machinery like street sweepers...
I had 10 mechanics, 2 bodymen, 2 welders and 2 servicemen and 1 foreman to manage them and anything they knew, we had to know.
Of course I always fixed my cars... from oil changes to engine swaps or rebuilds, electrical or electronics, body work, MIG welding, painting...
So yeah... I think I may qualify as a grease monkey

I've built a few rides. Everything from turbo mustangs to low riders with hydros or air bags.

I've stipped one of my mothercycles down to the barebones at the momemt tryong to find the source of an electrical fault. All wiring is intact. Battery has good charge. Regulator/rectifier is within it's limits. Continuity test come up tops. But the flow is not consistant power come in pulses. **** it must still be shorting somewhere. Fuk this electrical crack I'd prefer a rebuild any day.
