Need help finding a Jimi Hendrix song.........

Ok, in the first part of Black Hawk Down, in a chopper scene. There is a killer guitar riff going on and some singing I think. I'm pretty sure it's Hendrix, but i'm not sure. Does anyone know the name of the song? Redrock

No it wasn't Watchtower BigKev, that is the one song that is distinctive enough for me to point out. I'm pretty sure it wasn't, Purple Haze, Hey Joe or one of his more popular songs. Any ideas people?

It WAS written by Hendrix, but the version in Black Hawk Down is performed by Stevie Ray Vaughn. The song you ask??? Voodoo Chile (Slight Return).

SRV was a huge Hendrix fan....I have a bootleg cd from one of his shows in Cleveland where he did a Hendrix medley of 4 Hendrix songs - Foxey Lady, Hey Joe, If 6 was 9 and Crosstown Traffic. Absolutely awesome!

This is slightly off subject, but is "Blackhawk Down" worth buying on DVD. I haven't seen it but I love those kinds of movies. Oh ya, Hendrix is/was the man! Little wing is a kick ass song. I used to be able to play it on the guitar...it's ben a while.

    Peace

Black Hawk Down is worth buying. It is one of the best war movies I have seen in a while. It is awesome. I have seen it 4-5 times and I'm still not tired of it.
