That's with straps. Big deal. I've done 1100 out of the rack with straps.
nothing really impressive about that. good lift though, not many can do that.
the point is to bring out the race to the 1000lb deadlfit as peopel did it on bench and squat already......
Im sure many have alread pulled 1000 with straps if thinking about the world elite powerlifters.
But that lift is still insane I can only pull half of that so not a bash to the lift or lifter :lift:
That was a Fing joke.......He was using straps and HITCHED the SHI* out of it....Im not impressed.
No offence to you, Im just a powerlifter and to the layman that looks more that it really is.
If you want to see a true 900+ deadlift look up Ed Coan, Gary Frank, Andy Bolten, Steve Goggins.
if that's deadlifting i'm doing the completely wrong thing. I was under the impression the weight was supposed to come up quickly and cleanly.
The squat video isn't nearly as bad.. but there are a lot of guys that can squat in the 900's.
wow that dl sucked balls.. I wonder how he will like walking with a cane or a walker in a couple years
I think as long as you get your legs straight and your back erect, its considered a full dead lift.Quote:

Anyone do rack dead lifts? Whats the advantage to doing those? You only use your back and not your legs?
both of those are still impressive, his DL looked really sloppy and dangerous but he still moved the weight
more then I can do
