Where do you think easter eggs come from? A factory :D
Off the top of my head:
It started in a pagan religion...
Was incorporated into christianity by early pagan initiates: people who were converted from paganism to christianity.
Other things include: wedding rings...christmas trees etc... all started as pagan traditions
The symbol of the Easter Bunny originated with the pagan festival of Eastre. The goddess, Eastre, was worshipped by the Anglo-Saxons through her earth symbol, the rabbit.
The Germans brought the symbol of the Easter rabbit to America. It was widely ignored by other Christians until shortly after the Civil War. In fact, Easter itself was not widely celebrated in America until after that time.

jusus this jesus that, there are some many jesus's in my town but most are cleaning toilets or making tacos.
christmas and easter both existed before the time of christ. the church picked those dates convieniently.
.. :?: ...mmmkay
Egyptians and Persians used to dye eggs in spring colors and give them to friends as a symbol of renewed life long before Christ was born. The myths of several Eastern and middle Eastern cultures maintain that the earth itself was hatched from a giant egg.
Scholars believe the name Easter is derived from Oestar, a goddess of Spring and renewal. The rabbit or hare was the symbol of fertility, new life and of the moon in ancient Egypt. It may have become an Easter symbol because the date for Easter is determined by the moon.
Here come's Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail...

What is more gross is where we get the tradition of dying easter eggs. In the past, priests would have sex with virgins on the altar and one year later sacrifice those babies on the same altar and dye these "easter eggs" in the blood. That is the true origin. Pretty sick, eh?
