My first guess would be Playstation Portable, but I'm not exactly sure. Here's a link to Sony's official site for more info.

Not in the UK yet, I don't believe. They're out in Japan and just released this week in the US. Yeah they definitely look sweet. Seem expensive at first, but when you think about all the sh!t they can do, it's not bad. Still a weird aspect, from the what-the-fvck-were-you-thinking department, is Sony's attempt to sell UMD movies at near DVD cost. That and no cover to avoid wear on the screen.

The initial batch of one million was sold as a promotional bundle for about 250 bucks. Included the PSP, Spider-man 2 movie, a game/movie/music sampler disc, 32MB memory stick, headphones, battery pack, AC adapter, case and cloth. Heh, quoting from Best Buy's website. 4.3" LCD widescreen with support for MP3 playback and wireless communication.

    That's a great deal.

I'd get one if they still had that deal.

If i find it at that price i'll buy one. I just can't justify spending 400 bucks on something else i'll use once a month.

They still sell for $250. I don't know if anyone would buy a umd movie disc for 20 bucks? Just get a 1GB memory stick and convert any of your dvd to play on the psp.

Yep, valid point. My job involves sitting in front of a monitor most of the day working on art. Having a portable widescreen movie/mp3 player sitting next to me during crunch hours is very enticing. The fact that it plays games too is a bonus. I just wish I could afford one right now.
