Thays why there is such an importance on writing a will and instructions on what to do in certain medical situations. All of this could have been avoided.

You know what.. She's been laying in a vegatative state for 15 years, she was pretty much dead.. Her husband spend countless money having shockwave therapy done on the brain etc. I feel bad for the husband who has sat beside her bed watching his wife slowly waste away to nothing, remembering the normal relationship he had with her. I do feel that it was inhuman to let her pass without food or water, but in that case euthenasia would have been a good alternative method

She went without a feedding tube for 14 days. So she just starved to death. What kind of inhumane, fuked up sh*t is that. They could have at least put her to sleep or something.

    Agreed,

If they wanted her dead, they should have simply used lethal injection, instead of starving and dehydrating her to death.

I agree, but it was a political decision not to do so. If you allow euthanasia, then you allow the taking of a life. You must consider allowing abortion if you allow euthanasia. So that is the political pickle. It is a sad situation. Thankfully, this one is over. However, it will set the stage for the next such situation and maybe we can get something resolved at that time. So hopefully her suffering will result in less suffering of others.

Kind of messed up how we will not let a dog go through the pain of certain things and euthanize them but we do not have the same options in situations like this for humans.

You aren't kidding there......a lot of republican hopefulls that would like to run for Gov are distancing themselves from the issue. JEB has blackened his eye, so to speak, with the case.....over 85% of Florida was against his stepping in to save her. And then yesterday the courts lambasting Delay, JEB and the Prez for overstepping their bounds....to the point they could have broken four Consitutional rights.

I pray she finally gets to rest in peace. Hopefully now here loved ones can get closure and move on with their lives.

God Bless you Terry, rest in piece pretty lady.

I was just getting a haircut and discussing her as well and my barber told me that she was beulemic. I had no idea about that. I thought it was in a car crash also.
