Banks, credit card, and insurance companies screw everybody bro. I would say contact them and explain your situation, but they will probably piss you off and screw you ever more.

I had that problem once or twice, but I know what day the statement is produced on every month therefore i pay it on the same day each month.

A lot of credit cards have online bill pay, they email you a bill, it is great.
They also have programs that will automatically deduct the minimum payment from your checking or savings account when it is due. You'll earn good credit and it is hassle free. If you want to pay more, make 2 payments a month if you have the cash.
Also, if you don't have it ask your bank for a line of credit for over draft protection, only 20% of people use it but its FREE.

I use online bill paying, so there is never a problem.

I missed I a payment the month b4 last. Left my bank giro at my last addy. I paid it about 2 weeks late. They rang me yesterday telling me cos I am a treasured customer I am preapproved for an unsecured loan of 52,000 euros over 12-60 months.

It's not the $50.00 fee you need to worry about. They jack up the interest rate to the default when your late. It happened to me with Discover. I forgot to hit the confirm button making an internet payment so it never went through. They jacked the rate up to 28.00% mother ****ers.
