Law of conservation of momentum.. m1v1 + m2v2 = m1v1' + m2v2' energy is transfered, never lost. You have the idea, the airbag is going to reduce the velocity of the persons mellon. To actually figure out by how much you would need more info.Quote:

velocity is a vector, change the sign on either force to represent direction cause they are comiing at eachother.
