Whats so confusing? It's a bunch of short stories based on the comic book sin city all kind of tied together. Great movie if you're into the comic.

i thought it was neat and interesting you will like it if you understand its in a comic book style where it has Narrations from the hero and keep an open mind. try to think your reading a commic from years ago.

    eff yeah- it's awesome.

i think if there's any "point" or "theme" is that the establishment always wins.

look at the willis and mickey rourke parts and they're both just trying to do what they feel is right b4 they can be "brought to justice." in the clive owen part the hookers are using the "if c costs more than (a + b) / x" deterrent to keep their little corner away from the police and mob.

it's a hyper-polarized city of corruption, manufactured truth/morals, and crime, and the anti-heros need to use just as bad of means as the evil ones in order to get by.

i think it's prolly no accident that it ends the way it does (b4 the rachel leigh cook + josh hartnett scene)- sorta sweetly pessimistic and partially defeatist.

def. the most visually striking movie i've ever seen, and one helluva ride.

oh yeah i should edit too, that in the clive owen part they couldn't fight the police and that's why they needed the head- they could only deter the mob via disproprotionate casualty rates.

i thought the movie was good! never read the comic but if u go into the movie knowing its based on a cmoic its a great movie. its far fetched and definatly not realistic but again its based on a comic.
