    Is it disrespectful to get a tattoo of a countries flag?

    Just wondering, I've seen people with them before but was wondering if it was disrespectful in the slightest....thanks

    If its the country your from. No.

    If you are expressing your families heritage and you where born in the U.S. I would do a combination of both flags.

    i would do what bubba said. thats what i was gonna do with germany's flag and american. always thought it was a cool idea but im not really a tattoo person

    Well I was taught that it is disrespectful. Having spent 12 years in the military you learn about these things just like dropping the flag on the ground or having a flag patch on your butt jeans. The flag is a symbol representing a nation's people not a individual. At any rate just do not go to IRAQ or anyplace else hostile because having a flag tatooed on you may be patriotic but to some zealous fundalmentals you are a target.

    ......You bastards changed my icon to this?! Good thing my title hasent been skewed to some god awful thing like big robs or axeleather because if theres one thing I as a human will not stand for is being associated with this...this.....mockery of a land!
